Redhat up2date configuration...

I just installed Redhat 9 on my laptop, to test out. It's having a problem registering with the RH network (doesn't seem to be able to get there). There is no firewall, and the machine is correctly on the LAN (via DHCP) -- all other systems are working fine.

Since I'm a little new to the application, I'm not certain what to look for in order to figure out why it's not able to connect.

Any ideas?

What error are you getting?

SSL connect error?

If so you may need to update your up2date and rhn_register packages with the new ones with the updated SSL cert

Run this:

# wget -q -O - | /bin/bash

That fixed the problem, thank you. (!)

You would think that RedHat would have the mindfulness to just create updated ISO's for download...

Thank you,
