redhat linux 9 and comcast
 

I have a Gateway laptop that is a dual boot with XP and RH linux. I was previously running RH 7.2, but I recently upgraded it to RH 9.0. Before the upgrade, I had no problem connecting to the internet (via a cable modem and Comcast ISP) with RH 7.2. However, after the upgrade, I can't seem to connect to the internet. I have used ipconfig and the output looks okay. Nevertheless, when I start up mozilla, it can't connect to any websites.

I know that this networking issue has been asked before. I have googled for answers and none of them seem to work. Does anybody here have any suggestions?

p.s. I will gladly post output, specs, etc. if anybody has a suggestion.
