Redhat Alert Notification Tool - kernel message

When I launch the Redhat Alert Notification Tool, I have noticed that the following message appears under the tab titled "Critical Information":

"Your system is currently running kernel-2.4.18-14, but the newest installed kernel is kernel-2.4.20-20.8. It is recommended that you reboot at the first opportunity to test this new kernel."

I have rebooted a half dozen times over the past two months or so and notice that this message is always there. What is action do I need to take and how do I accomplish it? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

By the way, I am running RH8 on the Intel platform.

Thanks
Derek

When your pc boots do you get to select kernel-2.4.20-20.8 in grub/lilo menu?

I am not presented with anything that offers me a selection, until I am at the login screen.
I just rebooted and see the same message. Hhmmmmmm.

Thanks,
Derek
