Redhat 9 Killed My Adsl Connection


I cannot get online but my modem speedtouch 330 seems to be working ok both green lights or on and steady but when I try to surf to any web page it tells me that the web page cannot be found!! Please help this is doing my head in!

Firstly, have you even setup a connection to the net in linux? Secondly, are you connecting to the net solely thru the modem or are you using a router?

Yes I have followed several howtos in regard to the modem and drivers etc.. and secondly yes it soley thru the modem but nothing hope u can help me!!!?

hm well the same post twice run 'neat' in a shell and follow instruction, this is a redhat configurater for your moduem

no i have tryed that but my modem is not recocised in linux
but i looks like it should work the lights are on as i said oh and its the usb type modem!

did you get the latest driver for this modem for linux? btw maybe its not compatible with linux?
