redhat 9 Java vm not working in mozilla


Hey I have downloaded the java sdk from the sun sight installed it enabled java in my mozilla broswer and copied the file it says should be used for the plugin into the plugin directory for mozilla yet it doesn't work still and thefile name has a flashing red background in terminal asuming thats why but not sure using the j2re2.0 sdk any ideas?

as well the java interpretor doesn't seem to be working I dl'ed the rpm is there a reason that wouldn't work in redhat after running the bin? and then extracting the rpm? its all there in the directory just doens't work
