Redhat 9 Install CD hungs on boot
I've installed several versions of Linux without problems, Redhat 8, Mandrake 6,7 and 8, Definite, SuSE and even Gentoo but I'm having problems with Redhat 9
I've downloaded the 3 ISO files and imaged them to CD but now the first CD refuses to boot it justs comes up as "Boot from CD:" and thats it, it just sits there until I hit the reset button, no key presses do anything. If I use a boot disk a similar thing happens My system specs are Shuttle SN41G2 (nForce2 chipset, NIC, audio etc) Athlon XP 2400+ 512MB DDR RAM 120GB Maxtor 6Y LG CD-RW/DVD Any ideas why it refuses to boot? |

Poor media might be the answer to your problem. The first part of the Red Hat 9.0 contains a media verification option. Clearly, you will not be aware of this yet. The first disk must be bootable as well as containing Shrike. |
fixed it but thanks anyway
I forget to check the MD5 checksum after downloading, seems my download manager screwed it up |
