Redhat 9 eth0 fails on boot

When I reboot my machine, I receive an eth0 failure message and cannot access the internet.

When I go into terminal mode and run 'dhclient eth0', all is well. How do I get this to correctly run on startup of the computer, so that I don't have to manually run this command?

(As a bit of background, I used to have Fedora Core 2 installed and this was not an issue. I tried miserably to install FC3 and finally went to Redhat 9.)

This is my first Linux question and 'Linux-Newbie' is definitely correct! So please be real clear with instructions - thanks.

Obviously the problem is that your system isn't picking up an IP address from the DHCP provider. It may be simply a time-out issue that the DHCP client on RH9 isn't persistent enough.

I would recommend that you go forwards rather than back, though. RH9 is out of support so there will be no further bugfixes on this product. If you post your FC3 problem to the Fedora forum here then it can be resolved.
