Unhappy RedHat 7.3 problem

Hey new here i install Red Hat 7.3 i configure the Ethernet card to the Internet and when i restart the PC the login start in the text mode not in graphical mode , then i type startx it comes a window that say:
cold not look up Internet address for local host this will prevent GNOME from operating correctly. it may be possible to correct the problem by adding local host to the file /etc/hosts

What does your /etc/hosts file look like ? How do you connect to your ISP, DHCP or Static ? Did you change your hostname of your machine ?

Try adding this if it doesn't have an entry like this in there: localhost
