RedHat 7.1 wont load...
I just installed Redhat Linux 7.1 today (after several formats and losing my hole drive).. and after a while of playing with it, i logged out and logged in again, but it got stucked... I shut the computer off manually, and now when i try to boot it, it gives me an error that says that the filesystem has some errors... and it doesnt load...
I know that there is a command that will fix this, but i cant remember what it was... Also, im booting linux by using a Floppy Disk, how can i get a loader like LILO to boot it and Windows 2000 (according to the manual LILO and Windows nt would have a conflict so i didnt installed LILO)... thanks Azazel |
Maybe you can use the install cd in "rescue" mode and then run fsck or e2fsck on your root partion.
You want to avoid hardware resets whenever possible. What was on the screen when it froze up? |
well, actually nothing.. i just froze in the Splash screen where it is loading the devices for KDE...
