Redhat 7.1 -- KDE Lockup on Startup

Hi guys,

I'm new to Linux, and trying to learn, so bear with me.

I installed redhat 7.1 today, and I can get the system to start into Gnome or Failsafe, but KDE locks when it gets to the 'peripheral' section of the dialog.

Does anyone know if this has a simple answer? Or do I need to supply more information.

From what I understand about these things, it's a hard lock (CRTL-alt-del/crtl-alt-backspace don't work) so I have to reboot the computer and manually run fsck everytime.

Let me know everyone,

Thanks -

if you can provide the contents of the file /var/log/messages it would be helpful, this file may be large so if you look through it odds are you can find soemthing suspicous.
