Short answer: you download it, boot from the ISO image, and follow the instructions.

Longer answer: You tell us what version of Red Hat, what kind of VM you're talking about, on what kind of guest/hardware, and we can try to help more. And if you're not going to PAY for Red Hat Enterprise, they you should NOT use it. Load CentOS instead.

There are THOUSANDS of very easily-found how-to guides that Google can point you to...those are good starting points. If you have specific questions, please post them, and we will be glad to help.

You can also be lazy and do a search for 'centos vm' and download a virtual machine pre-made.
