Red Hat nash version 4.2.15 (Fedora Core 4) Booting Problem
:study: I am newbie here in forum. I just want to ask about the error I have encountered after I installed Fedora Core 4, it does not start well.
Here is the error: Red Hat nash version 4.2.15 Starting mkrootdev: label / not found mount: error 2 mounting ext3 ERROR opening /dev/console!!!!:2 error dup2'ing Fd of 0 to 0 error dup2'ing Fd of 0 to 1 error dup2'ing Fd of 0 to 2 switchroot: mount failed: 22 Kernel Panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! Need Help! |
Either your system is unabel to read the partition or the partition label / was deleted. You may need to modify grub to boot to root=/dev/? instead of root=LABEL=/. You can also boot to a rescue CD and rename the volume back to / with the e2label command.
