Red hat 9 screen blackout!

I have just installed Red hat 9 and every time i log out from gnome my screen goes black.

It allso happens when I pick restart.

The computer dose not die I can here it working but i cant do anything with the keyboard or so. And when I then hit reset and reboot, it stands on booting red hat that my filsystem has not been correct unmounted.

What can be wrong?

Hi there

It seems that your x has not been configured correctly this couls be either that u have chosen the wrong monitor, resolution, adapter, etc.

What u can try and do is press Ctrl-ALT-F1 this will take you to a login terminal, login as root and from the prompt type in redhat-config-xfree86 this will allow you to reset your vga settings.

it's okej....i wonder if there are maybe something wrong with my X-conf. I think it came after I installed the latest NVIDA drivers. I'm gonna check if it is as it should be.
