Smile Red Hat 9 on Virtual PC 2007 not responding to ARP

I just created a virtual machine for RedHat 9 on Virtual PC 2007 running on Win XP SP2. Everithing seems O.K.: IP stack activate on the two Intel NIC whitin Linux, I can ping the nodes on the XP from the RedHat but when I ping from the outside RedHat node do not respond to ARP requests: if I edit the ARP table of the Linux nodes ping resumes O.K. How can I fix it?

You DO KNOW that Red Hat 9 hit it's END OF LIFE in 2003
there have been NO updates to it sense then

even in a VM i would not expect RH9 to run well on a VERY NEW maching

are you using ipv6

RH9 will never be able to use the new ip protocol
