Angry Red Hat 9 control panel

I just updated from Red Hat 7 to Red Hat 9. Now the control panel on the desktop doesn't open. I tried opening it up from a terminal, but when i ask for 'kontrol-panel', i get this message:

relocation error: /usr/lib/qt-3.1/lib/libqt-mt.so.3: undefined symbol: _ZNSs4_Rep11_S_terminalE

Any Red Hatters out there encountered this or been able to fix this?

thanks,
pleonasm77

There isn't a control panel in Red Hat 9 like in previous versions. This was taken out in 8 with Gnome 2.0.

After I upgraded I basically just moved my .gnome .gnome2 .gnome_private and .gnome_desktop directories and let gnome recreate them to get rid of all of the extra menu items, etc.
