red hat 9.0 on a emachine 333cs

I have tried installing red hat 9.0 on an emachine 333cs and every time an it completes its install and goes to boot to red hat for the first time it just keeps cycling after it gets passed uncompliling stage. I have tried different bios settings but know change. Also tried installing different forms of rh9 from workstation to server and still get the same results.

probaly need to try a different kernel
i don't use red hat but if it boots the install but not afterward some device in your pc is not happy with the kernel it is using, or the way it is using it, either way try using a more generic kernel just to get the system up and running and afterward you can try to see what the problem really is
