Question Red Hat 7.3

I run a server with RH 7.3 and a very complexed customised Kernel.....this sever serves as my MIS system's home.........I woudl liek to knwo if there is anybody out there that can give me some ideas on how to upgrade or what to upgrade this server to.......about two motnhs ago I got hacked via the Hylafax line....never saw that one coming....any ideas on this part will help as well......please note Linux i brand new to me btu am learnign fast andlovingeach minute of it.....lots of reading though!

I'm sure opinions will vary but i find YUM to be a great tool for not only updaing software but upgrading as well. I've used these instructions in the past and have had nothing but success. I'd personally suggest upgrading to Fedora Core 3, only because using legacy software is never a very good idea, in my opinion. Using the most up-to-date software available is a big step towards having a secure machine.

Nice one will discuss it with the makers of the MIS system and will read up on yoru advice.....
