Recurring Message "ptrace"

I get this endless recurring message on my syslog:

Mar 19 14:57:37 tree-desktop kernel: [508832.987942] type=1503 audit(1332194257.013:1610181): operation="ptrace" pid=3648 parent=1 profile="/usr/lib/firefox-11.0/firefox{,*[^s][^h]}" tracer=3648 tracee=1299

seems like a bug? Maybe it's related to
my Adobe flash player (latest version) always crashes on Firefox, and works tentatively on Konqueror, as well. I have tried re-installing it in different ways to no avail.

Any ideas? THX.

Running on Ubuntu 10.04, Gnome 2.30.2

It seems like problems started with FF 11. How can I get back to 10 (or earlier)?

You can download Firefox directly from Mozilla, extract it and launch it from your home directory.

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/10.0.1/

Keep in mind is security risk to run such version and it won't be updated automatically.

what plugins are installed on ff
there is no log entry with "ptrace" on opensuse 11.4 and ff 11

but i am also running the 64 bit firefox build and the 64 bit plugins
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla..../linux-x86_64/
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or.../linux-x86_64/

it is also possible that the Ubuntu people left it on when they put the deb together
