recovering the boot loader

Hi all,
I lost my Fedora core 2 linux boot loader b'coz i reinstalled the
windows XP on my system.
One of my friend told me the procedure to recover it. But i don't have
that CD's of Fedora core from which i installed the OS.
I've Red Hat 8 and Latest version of Mandrake..
Now i'm in dilemma whether any one of them will work i.e whether
they will be compatible ???
Thanks!
