Angry Recovering Linux Disk

I was trying to upgrade my linux workstation from Fedora 8 to Fedora 11 but something went wrong and my system crashed

No I am stuck with my data on the drive.. is there any I can recover my data ??

I tried google too.. but no solution..
Any help will be appreciated...

Assuming that the partitions them selves are ok, there are a few easy ways.
- Boot using a live cd or dvd then mount the disk, scp your data to another machine on the network or cp to another disk
- Take the disk out of the machine, install it in another machine, boot and mount the disk, copy files

And so on.

Boot with a live cd and check the status.
