I turned off the power abruptly which brought me following problem while rebooting. **************************************************** Inode 146180 has illegal block(s) UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY (i.e. without -a or -p options) ... then kept checking until... fsck failed - Please repair manually CONTROL-D will exit from this shell and continue system startup Give root password for maintenance (or type Control-D for normal startup): ****************************************************when I issue startx I get xauth:error in locking file /root/.Xauthority could not lock file in /tmp/.tX0-lock Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated thanks |
i'd sugest you do what the man says.... run fsck manually
login in as root and run fsck /dev/hda5 logout and reboot, and you shold be ok. or which ever partation it is that failed. |
