Realtek AC'97 v2.7 makes noise?! IDE1 DVD RW not detected!?
Greetings to You all here.
I' m a newbie, but all I got was Slackware 10, so I installed it. I downloaded the latest drivers for my GeForce 4 MX 440 card ( 61.11) , done what was said to be done in previous threads... well- it locks up! And I use Option "NvAgp" "0" to be able to run xServer... Would anybody, who haD the same problem with nVidia, send me an example for a xorgconf file? I' ve installed my Realtek AC'97 - there are sounds, I listen mp3, but it makes noise?! That doesn' t happen in the ( fucked and awful) WinXP? Is it possible the problem to be in the settings of the driver, or maybe the driver is not propper? I have NEC 2510A on IDE1 Master, but Linux does not detect it?! On IDE0 are my HDD and CD- ROM device. The CD is being mounted without a problem. How to make it detect IDE 1 drives too? My configuration is: Gigabyte 7VT600-P-L GeForce 4 MX 440 AGP 8x Realtek AC'97 audio onboard Realtek LAN 8139 onboard DVD RW NEC 2510A Distribution: Slackware 10 Linux kernel: 2.4.26 nVidia Driver: 1.0-6111 Realtek AC'97 audio driver- 2.7 xServer + KDE 3.2 |
