I have installed the real player 10. In Mozilla it shows the plugin. From news sites when you click on video it plays just fine. When i try to run clips from links in the brower it asks for me to select the program to run it with. When I select Real player it errors out saying "The player does not have the capibilities to play this content."
Selecting to update takes to a site that tells me i am updated. Details says " The following components are required: mpg"

It also wont run movies i have created in Windows movie maker. Must have missed a step some where...

This may not be the solution but I couldn't play such files unitl I installed the totem-xine package(debian) Once that was install videos would play fine. Perhaps you need the codecs there before Real will play them. I also have real but have never tried to watch anything but streams with it.

Thanks, I just discovered that Xine will work for those files. Had it for DVDs.
