RealPlayer 10
Version: 10.0.0.297
Supported

Supported

1. Install RealPlayer 10.
2. Copy nphelix.so to your Mozilla plugins directory and nphelix.xpt to your Mozilla components directory.
3. Make sure a symbolic link to the realplay script is in your PATH.

If you installed the RealPlayer 10 RPM, these files are located in /usr/local/RealPlayer/mozilla.

Installing RealPlayer 10 will not uninstall RealPlayer 8 if it is on your system. If you have both RealPlayer 8 and RealPlayer 10 on your system, remove the RealPlayer 8 browser plugin (rpnp.so) from your Mozilla plugins directory. You may experience problems using the RealPlayer plugin if you do not do this.
That is what that website told me to do
where can i find that those files nphelix.so & nphelix.xpt i searched realplayer folder where it is installed but i cant find those 2 files there can ya hlep me plz
With Regards
Misbah

Uninstall your current version of RealPlayer. Download the one from the helixplayer download site. The version you want is 10.0.2 and in rpm format. Install then create the as follows

#ln -s /usr/local/RealPlayer/mozilla/* /usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.3/plugins/.

Substitute the path of mozilla for your own mozilla path or firefox path.

By the way, if it is installed, create a symlink as follows,

#ln -s /usr/local/RealPlayer/realplay /usr/bin/.
if you type $realplay in a console, it will now execute realplayer

Instead of copying nphelix* create symbolic links as I suggested in my previous post. If you had already copied them to your plugins folder, delete them and create the symlink.

well it means that everything is installed fine. What happens when you type
$realplay
does realplayer start?
Also what are the paths of the browsers that you want to use the realplayer plugins?
