Reading windows hard drive from fedora 9 liveusb..?

Hey...as my SUPER descriptive subject suggests...I want to know how I could read the contents of a hard drive with windows on it from Fedora 9 liveusb. I'm very very very new to linux but I'm an old hat at windows. Obviously, I'd like to learn. I can't even see my hard drives from the file manager in FC9. If this is really obviously NOT possible and I'm being a fool or something...please tell me so. I don't know the limitations of linux or the compatibility issues. I would mainly like to listen to music while fiddling with this OS.

Any and all help would be awesome...thanks!

You need to "mount" partitions before they are displayed in File manager. Since this is the first time you will be doing this, it is best to search for online resources offering descriptive steps on how to go about this.

Thank you very much. I'll get right on it.

Linux is pretty cool.
