read only file system change

HI,
i am using mandrake 10.0.one day i downloaded one file from net.
when i try to copy that file in to floppy through konsole,i had a error....
the error file system,......read only file system..
how to change that writable file system....
may i clear my doubt about read only file system...

chmod 777 yourfile

Will make your file look like..

It sounds like the tab on the back of your floppy is flipped to read only. Flip the little tab so there is no hole, and try again.

If that's not the problem, then your floppy is getting mounted read only for some reason. Post back and I'll see what we can find (probably something weird in /etc/fstab).
