re: Lt Winmodem id in /dev

Hello All:

I'm a newbie in the process of making my Lt WinModem work. Have done
much of what I need to do, but skipped a pretty basic step.

Where is my modem in /dev?

Yes, it's embarrassing to ask. Is it: .../tty0? Is it ../ttyS0?
I'm using RH 7.3
I have to create a symlink to it, which I also don't know how to do, but
first things first.

Thanks.

I wrote an "Answers" article that specifically addressed this question. I would recommend that you read it.

It is at /dev/LT0 (that is a zero!).

Can you be more specific? Where is it--the "answers article"?

This is a newbie forum; isn't patience the norm rather than a virtue?

Thanks, I'll take a look at it.

Will get modem to connect w/ help from M Stodolsky, who is a true wiz at this.

Again, thanks.
