hi

I have a v40z server.
Tape driver external connected on linux.

Basic commands work well e.g eject etc.

Copying a backup to the tape is a problem.

Any ideas? read-only removal

No ideas at all, based on your post.

What's a v40z server? What kind of connection is your tape drive? What KIND of tape drive? What command(s) are you using to copy the backup to the tape? What error(s) do you see? Version/distro of Linux?? Without details, no one can help you.
