re-installing evolution

I made an upgrade Fedora 5 - Fedora 18, but before I did, instead of making a backup on my evolution files, I saved the entire folder .evolution from the /home directory on a usb flashdrive. Now I am trying to re-install and in the "Evolution Account Assistant" there is an option to "Restore from backup file". Since I did not do the back up file, I've copied my .evolution folder from the flashdrive to the Desktop and created a .tar.gv file with the command:

tar -cvpzf /home/Andrew/evolution-backup.tar.gz /home/Andrew/Desktop/.evolution/

The problem is that the "Evolution Account Assistant" does not recognize the file. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-A.

there have been so many changes since fedora 5
that a ancient fc5 config folder will not work on fedora 18

manually input the old data

Thank you John VV,

Do you know which Folders should I copy? I believe that there should be one for the old emails, and one for the settings (?).
