Re-Install Lilo on Mandriva mbr

Hi Folks

Wondering if you can help , I have an OS exam on thursday . One of the questions that comes up each year is this

Describe the sequence of steps required ,(Which does not involve reinstalling the OS)to reinstall the LILO boot loader into the MBR on a Mandriva Kinux OS that no longer boots ??

I can't find it in my notes and for some reason google is not helping. Any help would great .

I'm a grub & ubuntu man , so don't know much bout mandriva & LILO .
