re double vision


hi folks got a query for you i have just installed ubuntu 10.10 on a seperate partition on my hardrive and when the screen starts up its in double vision and shaky have you had any such probs with ur installs if so wats the cure it clears after awail and never had any probs with the old ubuntu os thanks martin

Hey there.

I have had this problem before on an old Toshiba laptop... I think the problem you're having has something to do with the X11 setup. Try re-configuring the xorg server:

sudo dkpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
Hopefully this will fix your issue. If it doesn't, post some graphics card information with:

Code:
sudo lspci
It's possible that you need to install a graphics card driver, this will help us help you in that instance.
