re assign boot
Hi,
Ive installed Gnewsense on my sda1 and i no longer have the option to load Ubuntu 10.04 on sda2 at boot. As Gnewsense is ext 3 i cannot access my files in my Ubuntu Home dir. Can i simply switch my boot to sda2 ? It will solve my problem for the medium term. Thanks for your time. |
Hi,
It may depend on how grub has been installed, I would be tempted to suggest replacing the Ubuntu disc into the machine and doing a grub-install with that, and just reconfigure grub in Ubuntu to default to Gnewsense with a Ubuntu boot option, I believe Ubuntu uses Grub 2.0 these days as well. But somebody here might have a better solution before I go giving more details over what to do, or more experience with Ubuntu then myself. |
