yesterday, i tried to install rdesktop at my notebook (knoppix). after i extracted it, i typed "./configure". Then from the shell show message that i didn't have openssl. i tried to download it from internet and i can make it. i extract open ssl, did "./configure" and it automatically saved at my /etc/ssl and then i repeat what i had done. i typed "./configure", there were no error message, and when i typed "make", it appears like this :
xwin.c_xxxx: error: requestfor memba-'width' 'height' 'xoffset' in xxxx for street or union
it had a long error message and it similiarly one to another..
How can i solve that? And also, where can i get any information if rdesktop has been installed at my knoppix?
Type whereis rdesktop if it's installed the path to it will be shown. Why not just setup your repositories and then use apt-get to download and install your packages for you?
I don't know how to resolve that error message, it's a new one to me. However if you installed knoppix from a dvd (or cd) then remote desktop should already be there. Check under the internet section in your menu. Look for Krdc. If it's not there then add it from your installation media. It beats trying to compile it.
