rc simlinks keep returning
this is odd....
several simlinks keep returning after update-rc.d -n -f apache when i reboot. apache is only an example, sendmail returns, it looks for pcmcia (i'm on a desktop), cupsys, cupsd, monopd (which i apt-get removed) and others. these die when i kill them with the kil -s 9. this is probably part of the reason the system isn't a fast and as stable as the M$ xp was. not giving up, we shall prevail debby will b a proud Debian-sarge box when before i give up :) |
sys -V-init
well..ok
the problem was solved via sys-v-init and then when rebooting i found the system botting on runlevel 2 for some odd reason (if sys v init isn't enough) solution - editting initab and finding what runlevel default ur on isn't the internet a great place to live in? :) |
runlevel 2 is the default for debian.
