Rc.local + Slackware & the Internet!

I am a complete beginner to linux/unix and probably havent made things easier by installing slackware. Anyway, so far everything is working fine except my wireless card which I have to set up in the console each time I reboot. I have an atheros AR5212 802.11 abg card in an IBM r40 thinkpad.
Ive read about editing the rc.local file and the possibility of adding a script in there.

This is what I put into console at startup:
modprobe ath_pci
ifconfig ath0 up
modprobe wlan_scan_sta
iwconfig ath0 essid "home"
iwpriv ath0 authmode 1
iwconfig ath0 key sassword
dhclient ath0

[I dont know if I need to put all this in but Ive just copied it from a tutorial on the net]. How can I make a simple script to execute this.

Am I thinking along the right lines or is there a far easier way of achieving the same goal?

Any help would be much appreciated.
