rawwrite - won't work!!

i've decided to try and test out feather linux, mainly becuse of the simplicity of it all, and i've found a little run in.

i followed the directions that their website holds, and as soon as i get to the part about rawwrite, i start having trouble.

i've downloaded it, and i go to use it, and when it gets to about 86% writing the boot.img file to the disk, i get the error:

Code:
Write Failed: (5)
The disk media is not recognized. It may not be formatted
after pressing ok i get the message:

Code:
Image was not successfully written.
after pressing ok it takes me back to the RawWrite program.

i've tried formatting the disk, and it still doesn't work. has anyone else run into this problem for me? what did you do to get the program to work correctly?

Maybe try another disk?

Never had problems with RAWrite except one time I had a bad disk.

I do not know what OS your running rawrite from but you can not run raw it from windows. If your running RH then you can use the dd command to create the image instead. There is rawritewin ( or something close) that is a windows GUI app.
