Raspberry pi, Delphi/Kylix and connection to vellemann K8044
I currently run my central heating via a Vellemann K8044 interface. It is controlled 24/7 by a 15 year old Sony Laptop using a program written in Delphi7.
I now have a raspberry pi and would like, ideally,to use the same code to control my heating using the pi as the laptop must be on borrowed time. I can get Kylix (Delphi for Linux)and presumably install Linux on a PC to transfer the code. Any ideas? |
Phewww - 15 years ago; yep, that sounds about when I last used Delphi (fuggin awesome language/IDE for its time).
I think Kylix died years ago. I just checked the remnants of my (yet to be purged) dead languages shelf in my (home) office. There is indeed a Kylix Developers Guide - but from the Borland era. You might be able to get Lazarus - but even that was close to inactive last I checked some time ago. Lotsa luck. |
