Question rar extractor for ubuntu 9.04


whats a good rar extractor and how do i install it?

you just confused me?
is "aptitude install rar" a command i should use or what?

Right. Type in "aptitude install rar".

You have to be root to run that. Either SU to root, or precede the command with 'sudo'.

Using rar through Wine

Hi there,

After trying it with the free unrar-util without success I just ran Winrar using Wine.

Did the trick for me!
