Random servers having 100% CPU usage and gone when SSH to the server!

Hi Guys,

I do have a few servers which having VM's on them. Here is something unusual happens. Random nodes we notice are maxing out the CPU but as soon as I login via SSH the server loads stop and it gets back to normal. It does not happen very often.
I do not have a monitoring service implemented in place.

Do you have any idea?

Thanks

You could run top in batch mode as a crude monitoring solution.

By the way, how do you know that they max out the CPU if the phenomenon disappears when you log on?

Okay, I will research on that.
I do find out from the VM control panel and also when the VM's are getting very slow!
