Random Restart

I had a server turn off on me. Noticed it was down in vmware. Vmware shows no alarms on the server.

/var/log/messages gives me very little

Aug 1 22:49:27 server-01 syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Aug 1 22:49:27 server-01 syslog: syslogd startup succeeded
Aug 1 22:49:27server-01 kernel: klogd 1.4.1, log source = /proc/kmsg started.

any idears?
