Exclamation Random problems with copypaste and context menus.

Hello.

I am at the moment on Ubuntu Studio 16.04 LTS 64-Bit.

There are some random problems that occured, that may be linked to each other:
  • I am unable to move any tabs with Firefox.
  • I am unable to paste from my clipboard.
  • I am also unable to paste from the clipboard in other applications than Firefox.
  • Firefox: Right clicks do not display context menu.
  • Firefox download/setting menu click: Menu just shows up for the fraction of a second and then vanishes.

Is that cause known? And how can it be solved without violating the Linux/BSD philosophy of restartlessness?

Lightbulb Copypaste suddenly works.

The copypaste issue mysteriously solved itself while I was just browsing a bit with Firefox.
I would still be interested in the possible cause.
