Those files look like they belong to firefox or another Mozilla program - Chrome, bookmarks, history etc.

So every time you open your browser, they appear? That is odd.

Please tell us which browser you are using including version, and also which distro you are using as this can greatly increase our chances of helping you.

By the way - Welcome to LQ!

Curious...

Did you happen to change any browser settings such as the location where it saves its configuration files?

Also what browser are you using?
From the filenames I would guess either firefox or mozilla.

random icons w/ browser opening

Wow! how great to have some replies! I am sorry I am very new at linux as I stated. I don't know how to find out which version or disto I have re browser or disto. This whole thing started as a xmas gift, it is a SAMS book with Fedora 4 DVD in it and the rest was easy. The entire install was graphic and left to the default. It was a clean install on new unformatted disks. Pentium 4 1 G ram. I now am worried that it could be a virus as the system has been always on for a few weeks to a static IP though behind a NAT router. I would like some directions as to how/what I could enter via command line to list what core is running and what brower is the default etc. I will take the tutorials at this site and am reading but at this point I have no unix/linux experience and DOS3.0 seems a long time ago. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated
