ram size
Hi
I would like to know how much build in ram my old labtop has. I have installed Red Hat 9 ( the minimum option since not enough disk space) . The interface is simply a command prompt . What command can I use ? I'm lost . Do I need to be in a special directory? Thanks for you help Hugh  |
use the command 'free' it will tell you how much memory (and swap space) you have installed and how much is currently used (ie how much free vs used-by-programs memory you have).

That worked! Just what I needed
Thanks Hugh |
