RAID 5 install - need help!
 

I have...
P4 pro 3.6 ghz w/1mb cache
4 gig PC400 DDR2 memory
ASUS P5 AI series MB
RocketRAID 4 port SATA controller
5 - 300 gig Maxtor SATA HDD's
3000/768 DSL connection
WIN XP SP2

I want to install RH Linux 9 on a RAID 5 for use as a webserver.

I've installed Linux before, on other systems, and have tinkered with it a bit, so I'm familiar with it, but not a pro by any means.

When I try to install RHL on this PC it shows all 4 drives, instead of the one 900 gig RAID 5 partition. Searching the net I have found that I need to make a a driver disk using RaWrite. I guess...:D Problem is I can't find the image file that I need to use. I've searched the RHL disks and the Highpoint-tech.com website, nothing.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Or you can use a newer kernel 2.6 distro instead of a 2.4 distro, and it may work natively- but I doubt it. If you want native kernel support use an LSI or 3ware SATA RAID card and kernel 2.6. Otherwise make a boot disk from the driver above, and hit the F1 key( i think) on install to add your software RAID driver.

first thing you should do is to make sure your raid 5 is already optimal before you can see it as 1 HD, upon booting your pc if you can see the SATA RAID CONTROLER then PRESS "CTRL A" after that create your array and select raid 5, then after doing that manage your array and you can see a percentage of your raid 5 and it will appear that CLEARING wait until it is 100% and it will appear OPTIMAL, then you can now install your OS using RAID5...
