Raid 0 Question

Can any body tell me the difference between the Ubuntu CD and DVD in terms of, is the DVD still a live version and does the DVD allow you to setup raid on the install like the server version of Ubuntu does?

Ubuntu desktop edition I guess does not create raid on installation. But you can surely use the tools to create raid after you have installation at place.

Well I think it is much easier to set up on install. I was also having issues setting up a raid 0 because I am wanting to do it on / which will mean it is not simple because the system is running on it. Apparantly mdadm doesn't like the missing option for raid 0 and also I haven't found a tutorial for raid 0. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong places.
