"radio off" in iwconfig Slackware 12.2

I am new to Slackware. I got everything running well. Then out of the blue, my wireless stopped working. My iwconfig brings up: "eth0 radio off"
How do I fix it?

Are you sure eth0 is your wireless device? What's the output of ifconfig?

I am sure that it was eth0 before because I have been using it to connect to the internet for about 3 weeks. But it does not show up on my ifconfig now.

Smile Problem Solved!

I fixed my problem! It turns out that the wireless card was broken. I was able to replace it. At first it still said "radio off" but then I went into the "F2 setup menu" and went to the page that that talked about "Mini PCI" and switched wireless "on".
That solved my problem.
