Hi Everyone, this is my first post so please be kind.

O/S: Fedora 10
Video Driver: Radeon
Video Card: ATI X1300

I was using proprietary ATI driver with F8 and dual head and had no issues. I upgraded to F10 and used the radeon driver as the proprietary driver does not work.

When I create an xterm, it gets created, but I see this error:

Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct
xterm: unable to open font "-misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso10646-1", trying "fixed"....

When using the xterm, I can type <CTRL>+Right click to get the VTFonts popup, I can select font size in that popup but the change does not take effect.

My initial guess is I have an environment issue and I did some googling, but I have not been able to find a solution.

Anyone have any ideas?

I had a myriad of problems with the out-of-the-box radeon driver when using debian---i would recomend uninstalling the rpm packaged radeon driver that came with fedora(if that is what your using) and getting the catalyst one from ati's site...It fixed problems from segfaulting glx to truecolor errors to fonts missing etc.
