quick firefox question

hi, first post ^^,
i am having troubles opening firefox. I can only open it if i goto the terminal and type

chmod +x firefox

is there any other way to start firefox?

Welcome to the forums Finnisher!

That's usually the way we start programs in Linux... going to the terminal and typing the program name. What would you like to do? Create an icon on the desktop or something? That's also possible, just tell us which desktop you are using, such as Gnome or KDE.
