questions about kanotix re:network & ntfs
heya
atm i'm using a older boot cd of kanotix(2005-05) and quite like it(in fact, its pretty awsome).
ive decided to install it on my home file server which is used mainly for downloading, playing videos/music and of course sharing files on a local network by sharing folders directly and through dc++
ive run a few distros (suse 9.3, 10.2 xandros 3 fedora core 3 and 4) but have pretty much zero experience installing and configuring stuff so i have a few questions.
how easy is it to set up folder sharing like that in windows?
will i have full ntfs support? i have a bunch of hdds which are all ntfs and have always been read only under linux. the latest version of kanotix (KANOTIX 2007-Thorhammer-RC6) says it supports NTFS-3G. does that mean it installs it straight off and ill have full read write?
also is it difficult to install things like emule etc?
thanks
