Questions about p2p programs

Ok so you will laugh at me for these but I have two quick questions

1. Which P2P do people use and works the best (please don't just start a huge fight)

2. Can linux get spyware and if yes, what is the best program to get rid of it

Thanks

2. As of what I know, any OS can get spyware. I don't know much about programs to get rid of them because i never used one.

1. A couple --
gnutella
and the ever popular bittorrent

2. I've never heard of any Linux specific spyware. Never run as root unless absolutely necessary(some steps of some software installations). Don't use software that isn't reputable. When you download new packages do so only if they have checksum files to verify the package integrity. Keep your system patched and up-to-date and you don't have to worry about much.

You should also read the linux security howto
